Welcome to the Festival of Very Short Canons! All of April I'll be posting two recs a day in the comment section of this post.
All recommended canons will take 45 minutes or less to consume—many of them much less! We have a mixture of music/music videos, short stories, fake articles, comics, and miscellaneous other things. (Music and music videos were so popular that we're going to have about one of those a day every day of April!)
Extra info:
- Have a longer canon you'd love to rec? Stop by the Canon Promo post!
- If you have a Dreamwidth account, you can subscribe to comments on this post to get email updates.
- The recommendation form asked reccers if they'd like to give any content warnings, but it was optional; recommended canons won't necessarily have comprehensive warnings.
- Please don't make top-level comments to this post, but you're welcome to discuss recc'd canons by replying to my comments! You can also join the AAT Event Discord.

7 April 2025 01:50 pm (UTC)under the olive grove - embraidery
(Reccommended by Alicelikesgravity!)
Media type: Original Work
Approximate length: 11-30 minutes
When a young noble agreed to an arranged marriage to unite his city-state with another, he had no idea it would lead to his reunion with his childhood best friend. Set in an original setting inspired by Ancient Greece.
This fic is a beautiful combination of Arranged Marriage, Estranged Childhood Best Friends to Lovers, Mutual Pining, Not Actually Unrequited Love, Misunderstandings, that eventually results in a happy ending.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY - Waterparks (Album)
(Reccommended by chaya!)
Media type: Music (Album)
Approximate length: 30-45 minutes
Content Warnings religious trauma
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY is the fifth studio album from the American pop-punk/alternative/etc band Waterparks. It focuses on both fame and religious trauma and builds a story between two characters: Soulsucker and St*rfucker who represent those themes. Also, it slaps.
